Why “Spotlight On Impact”?
Our mission at Coompass is to connect passionate volunteers with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that are actively working towards achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through this series, we aim to highlight the important work of these NGOs and demonstrate the specific ways in which you can participate.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for NGOs that are dedicated to sustainability, social responsibility, and community development. Whether they are focused on environmental conservation, education, healthcare, or economic empowerment, their missions should align with the principles of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By showcasing a diverse range of NGOs, we aim to create opportunities for companies, companies’ workforce, and volunteers with different skills and interests to make meaningful contributions.
What to Expect
In each weekly installment of “Spotlight On Impact,” you’ll discover:
- NGO Profiles: Learn about the mission and goals of each featured NGO. Understand how their work contributes to broader social and environmental objectives.
- Volunteering Needs: Explore the specific skills and expertise that these NGOs are seeking from volunteers, whether it’s project management, digital marketing, teaching, or community outreach. There’s a role for everyone who wants to make a difference.
- Impact Stories: Hear first-hand accounts of the impact these NGOs are achieving, from success stories to challenges overcome. Get inspired by their dedication and resilience.
Kickoff with Giving Tuesday Portugal
We are excited to kick off the series by highlighting our partnership with Giving Tuesday Portugal, an inspiring initiative that is part of the global movement known as #GivingTuesday. This movement, which takes place the Tuesday after Thanksgiving in the United States, has been replicated worldwide and, in Portugal, continues the momentum from Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

It’s a day dedicated to generosity, and throughout the year, the organization encourages acts of kindness and collaboration across various sectors.
